The Beginning

Once upon a time (several months ago)... we decided to move to S. Korea. We'll only be there for a year or two, don't worry this isn't permanent. Anyway, in light of living on the other side of the world and seeing as how my long distance communication skills are not very admirable, I thought perhaps creating a blog about what is going on in our lives would be a good idea for those who are interested. I figured I might as well go ahead and start now so I could get the hang of trying to keep it updated. I wish I were better at staying in contact with people, but each of you reading this probably are aware just from knowing me that this is an area where I fail. So a blog seemed like an easy way to keep as many people as possible up to date on the current happenings of our lives. I don't, however, plan to stop trying to be intentional with individuals :) Improvement in this area is a resolution for 2010, among other things...like a tan for the big day in July! (more to come later)

Right now it looks like we will leave for S. Korea somewhere around August. The next 8 months will be pretty exciting. We will be spending our next 5 months in Arkansas before moving away. That will be so very bittersweet! I will graduate in May and we'll head home to Indiana and Ohio for a couple months to be part of two weddings.. Jason (Jon's brother) & Mary's on tentatively June 12th and Luke & Lauren's (my sister) sometime in July or August. I am pretty pumped to spend so much time home and to have such FUN things to look forward to.

So... welcome to the Bihl Blog. Most likely it will always be me writing, although I told Jon today that he had to do it sometimes. But I am looking forward to experiencing a whole new culture soon and using pictures, stories, and videos to make you part of it.
I hope I don't disappoint. I'll do my best.
