So we were really bummed to miss Thanksgiving at home this year, but we had a pretty great time being able to skype with both families. Skype and magic jack sure make the world seem a lot smaller. I (Nicole) even watched some football in the wee hours of the evening this past weekend. Couldn't miss the Michigan - OSU game.
Anyway, we did our best to celebrate the American holiday from afar.

We brought a pumpkin pie to school on Thursday. We bought it at costco for about $6.00! It was super cheap and very delicious! The teachers loved it.

pumpkin pie is not really enjoyed here! But we ate LOTS and LOTS of nice Thanksgiving food this year. Leave it to a bunch of foreigners, we can make it feel like American Thanksgiving just about anywhere!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am with you, Skype makes the world feel small sometimes and it's a lifesaver...especially during your first holidays away!
