Sam & Diane: Day 7,8,9

On Thursday it was the Lunar New Year here, so a lot more things were going to be closed down and everyone would be home with family, so we kept it low key these days and show mom and dad more of the things around our little neighborhood. This is the river that is about 4 blocks away. We like to come running here on the walking path when it is warm out.

He is just a stud!

Jon and I taking advantage of having someone that can take a picture of us. :)

Then we took them to the nearest beach which is about 15 minutes by bus, but probably 7-10 on Jon's new moped. We'll probably be there a lot this summer!

This is in an observation tower off the coast. You are supposed to be able to see one of the Japan islands on a clear day, but it wasn't clear this day. But don't they look precious?

Taking a trolley from the observation tower. What goobers. We were getting looks.

At a kick butt Chinese restaurant overlooking another beach.

We went shopping in the back streets of Nampdong, one of our favorite places to hang out.

Dad and Jon bought matching pants.

This is the Busan tower, it overlooks a good bit of our side of the city.

Pretending we see something crazy down on the platform waiting for the subway. We don't really, but we look legit right?

We also took mo and dad hiking up the small mountain behind our house to see one of the infamous outdoor workout areas. It looked pretty in the woods.

Getting buff up on the mountain.

Whose idea do you think this was? Yep - Diane :)
It was a blast having them here, and we were really sad for them to leave. Who would have thought we'd get to spend a week together in Asia? It was wonderful having them see our lives over here and now be able to identify with things when we tell them where we are going or what we are eating. God is so good and we are thankful that he made this possible!

  1. Good job blogging Nicole! We had so much fun being there with you guys! We've been home a little over a week now, I think I'm over the jet lag. I actually slept all night last night for the first time. I finally have my days and nights figured out! :) Love you!

  2. So, so cool that you had that time together! I wish I could've had some visitors from home. Guess I'll just have to go back and drag someone with me!

I just love seeing all of your silliness. They are coming up here next weekend for Grandpa's birthday. Can't wait to see them. Love you!
