Jon and I love going to our gym for several reasons, and one of them includes Mr. Ha. He works at the gym during the hours we are there and he has adopted us as his personal projects. He has become our trainer and he works us out until I am sometimes so sore that it is hard to walk or lift my arms. He loves trying to speak english with us, even though he really hardly knows any. I think he wants to be best friends with Jon - he loves him! We've been out to dinner with him and he even takes Jon on small errands sometimes to help us out. He also gave us both awesome gloves for lifting. He even brings us food sometimes in the mornings to help us know what we should and shouldn't eat :)
When we went out to dinner with him before we visited his wife's small jewelry shop and I bought a pair of earrings. I was debating between some silver ones and some pearl ones. The pearls were a bit more expensive so I went with silver. The next morning at the gym Mr. Ha came up to me with a little box and said it was a gift from his wife.. in very broken english :).. and yes, it was the pearl earrings. SO sweet!!
Yesterday Mr. Ha wanted to go to an English movie with us, so off we went to see "World Invasion." It was ok - I'm not so into sci fi and aliens, but the action was good.

Mr. Ha is not a big man in terms of height, but he is BUILT! He won Mr. Busan in weight lifting before. He is ripped.

After the movie we went to Pizza Hut for the first time! It was delicious!

Can you guess what Jon is thinking about?

Mr. Ha has two adorable little daughters - 4 and 6 - and when they got to pizza hut they just kicked their shoes off under the table and were barefoot the whole time we were there. I thought that was so cute.

They were a little shy at first, but by the end of the meal the girls were loving us, and especially attached to Jon!

This is Mrs. Ha and the girls inside her very tiny jewelry shop. Mr. Ha is standing in the door way - the whole shop is the size of a large walk in closet.

They are a sweet family! You can be praying because they are not Christians, but Mr. Ha knows that we are. He knows we go to a church on Sunday and he will maybe sometime come with us. :)
What a great story! I will be praying for the Ha family! Is he the one that did the print-outs for dad and I when we went to the gym?
ReplyDeleteSo neat that you and Jon are meeting such wonderful people. How sweet of them to give you the earrings. You guys will probably come home ripped with all of the working out that you do.
ReplyDeleteI will put the Ha family on my prayer list.
