Goodness it has been a long time since we have updated. Things haven't been too exciting lately. We've just been pushing through the heat of the summer. Thankfully we have a week long vacation now. Before I update on our vacation trip I wanted to catch up on the months of June and July. I can't believe how fast time is going, but am thankful for it because there are so many things coming up that we are excited about.
Here is a photo of Jon teaching his 3 year olds. They are really cute kids. He has a fun time with them most of the time.
We went on a field trip to a park where we played some games and ate our packed lunches. It is so much fun and good for us to spend time with them outside of the classroom. They get to be kids and we get to have fun instead of constantly pushing them so hard with English.
They like sharing their food with us. It's cute except when their dirty fingers put it right in our mouths.
I have some kids with really fun personalities. These are three of my favorite students! Jason, Wendy and Owen. I will really really really miss them when we leave.
Jon and one of his best buddies Calvin.
My kindergarten working hard. This is their third year in English kindergarten and they were born in 2006/2007. They are mostly early six years old. They are doing first grade English books learning about exclamation points, commands, rules of commas,...it's amazing to me.
Just to show you how impressive it is here is our latest story book "The Little Mermaid." It's about 20 pages like this and they can read it at 5-6 years old. So incredible. I am so proud. When I first started with these kids most of them didn't know the alphabet!!!
And just to give you a preview, this is Simon.. he will be 6 in August. This is the first day of this book, so he has had no practice. By the end of the month he'll be flying through this book!
