We've been back up North for about a week and a half now. In a way that seems like such a short time, but in another sense it feels like we've already been here for a month. We miss the people in Arkansas a lot! It's hard not being there for church on Sundays already. God was so good to us to give us such an amazing church family to be part of!
What we've been up to: We're actually separated right now...just in the physical sense :) Jon is in Ohio and I am in Indiana. Thankfully this is the only time we will be apart this summer!!! Jon is helping his brothers and dad get some things done for Jason's wedding (Jon's older brother) that is at their house next weekend. And I am here helping get ready for my sister's bridal shower on Saturday and selling a bunch of our things in a garage sale this morning. My parents live in Amish country and around here garage sales are the thing! They start EARLY on Thursday mornings. Hopefully it will go well today.
Apart from the garage sale and upcoming wedding we've had time to just relax for a while, which has been so nice! We got the workbooks for the Supernatural Ways of Royalty by Kris Vallotton and are starting those together to do this next month or two. I've loved getting up in the mornings and having time to just spend sitting out side in the sun reading. A summer with no jobs, no kids, and really not many responsibilities of our own won't come around again... so we are soaking it up.
Things to pray for:
-Preparation for Jr. High camp - My dad and I will be speaking for a week at a camp..the one I attended as a kid and worked at while in college. Much like New Life Ranch. More to come on this later.
-Planning and applying for S. Korea. I've been working through the process of applying to the organization we like the best...a few technical difficulties here and there, but working on it. Mainly we want wisdom and God's guidance for where we are supposed to land.
-North and South Korea - tensions are high between the two countries. We are praying peace and God's discernment for us if this is the place we are still to go.
-our hearts as we miss so many and are adjusting to living with family for a few months. It's very fun being home, but it's a big change from living on our own.
