cadbury eggs and t.p.

Some days here are cadbury egg days and some are t.p. days. Jon and I have just made our plans for the next year and a half. It took us a lot of thought and prayer and we have finally decided that we will be staying with our same school again. We will come home for the month of September and then Jon will come back to start in October. I will follow him a few weeks later and start actually teaching in December. We will then stay for a full year contract and come home December 1st, 2012.

It seems like a long time away... a year and a half almost. In some ways this is good and others it is sad. For example: I LOVE the cadbury mini eggs that only come out at easter time. They are the milk chocolate in a candy shell. This year between my mom's package (because she knows me well) and having Jeannie bring some, I had 4 bags of them! I still have an unopened bag and part of an opened one. They have lasted over a month and a half. I like to eat them slow and make them last and I am happy when I see there are still so many more :)

On the other hand, you know when you are buying toilet paper and you buy a huuuuge bag of it with like 93 rolls? (or maybe more like 40). You know that feeling when you realize it is a roll of sandpaper and here you are stuck with 92 (or 39) more rolls of it before you can get something else.. because you are cheap and not willing to throw it all away? You spend weeks looking at those rolls wondering when they are ever going to be gone.

Some days here are like looking at bags of cadbury eggs - I am so happy we still have time and there are so many things we want to do. Other days it feels like Dec 2012 will never get here and I am just ready to be home in America again.

We are expecting great things these next 18 months....taking some trips to other countries and cultures on this side of the globe. We are looking forward to spending this much more time working side by side all day every day... it will be a big adjustment coming back and having separate jobs. We aren't pumped for the report cards and phone testing we will have to do, but it's a small price to pay for what Korea has meant for us.

So for those of you who have wondered about our plans - there they are. Here is to hoping for lots of cadbury days!
