In April our friends Pam and Sheryl came to visit us for a weekend. Unfortunately our only full day together to go exploring was pouring down rain non-stop. So we made due with spending 3 hours inside a doll house cafe where we loaded up on the snacks and played cards. Before leaving Jon headed outside and got some shots of us from across the street. This cafe is such a fun idea!
Friday night we took them to the fountain show. We just love it. I got some more great shots of it. So beautiful...all choreographed to music. I should upload a video.
Here Sheryl's getting a photo with this sweet street vendor. The woman loved it. She waved Sheryl back behind the cart.
In the Jagalchi fish market a man offered Pam and I the chance to hold the Octopus. We almost dropped it when it started attacking Pam's hand.
We looked like a line of little ducklings all in a row with our individual umbrellas.
These are the AWESOME gifts they brought from Japan. I loved this wall hanging and reversible bag that I saw while we were there, but had ended up getting a couple other things and didn't go back for them. Well they remembered exactly. So sweet!
Not only that, but Pam came loaded with other goodies for us! Thank you Pam and Thank you Yokosuka Navy Base for having these awesome things available! It's not great for the cellulite, but good for the soul!!
So one day we were talking about shapes and I told my kids about Lucky Charms and all the shapes the cereal has in it. They don't really have cereals like that here. They thought it was so cool... so I had mentioned that to Pam and when she arrived with three boxes I knew my kids were going to love it. I was right.
They thought it was very delicious. Cereal in Korea is not a breakfast food, but a snack.
Owen (bottom left) told me he loves Korea, America, and China. I asked him why and he said because China has good chocolate (his dad travels there for work), America has Lucky Charms, and Korea has his house.

Sounds like you had fun in spite of the weather. That fountain is gorgeous! As always your kids are too cute for words. Love you!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love the kids expressions! The Lucky Charms were a big hit!
ReplyDeleteDid you guys have a window room at the doll house? Still wishing I could have been there. :) I would have loved to have seen the light show too. Love you!
