Birthday Cake and Spiced Minnows

Last week we had our every other month birthday party during which we celebrate all of the kids birthdays from the past two months. Each of the kids who has a birthday wears the traditional Korean clothing called the hanbok.

Each of them has to pose with the food and birthday sign. This is Ann, who is such a cutie. She has the best little grin, but you can't see it here because for this picture they are supposed to smile with their mouths closed and their hands on their tummy's. I am not sure why, but it is entertaining to watch them trying to work the pose.

We were out near a well known cliff recently and were looking out from this deck when we noticed this pole that informed us of major locations and their distance. It had Tokyo, Shanghai, Hongkong, Rome, Paris, Sydney, Moscow, and we can't forget the toilet is only 100m in the same direction as Moscow in case you were wondering.

Mo-Lie-Oh....."I don't know"

This was a side dish we were served in a restaurant last weekend. If you can't tell what it is, the next picture will help you.

Yep, little fish. They look like little minnows covered in sauce to me. Eyes and all... ugh. Jon says they really weren't that bad, but my battle isn't taste, it's all mental!

More Christmas Glee. Our third tree thanks to our loving families!

And our Christmas tree is full with presents! We're as excited as ever to see what is in all these packages that traveled so far. We'll be skyping with our families to open our gifts with them on Christmas morning. We may be far in distance, but we aren't too far in holiday cheer!
